The Borough of Fort Lee Selects SDL

The Borough of Fort Lee Selects SDL

SOMERSET, NJ - February 28, 2022 - Spatial Data Logic welcomes the Borough of Fort Lee as our newest client. The borough will implement SDL’s Building, Land Use, Health and Fire Prevention modules to streamline and automate processes such as zoning applications, building permits, inspections, health licenses, certificates of occupancy and more.

When looking for a new software provider, Fort Lee was looking for an interconnected solution that would increase transparency and collaboration throughout the building. Prior to implementing SDL, their Building, Land Use, Health and Fire Prevention departments were operating in silos, relying on 3 separate databases. With all of these departments now flowing through one system, the borough will have better visibility into property history, department activities, development projects and common complaints.

Fort Lee is also looking forward to getting its inspectors equipped with SDL Mobile. SDL’s mobile app contains a variety of features that will help the borough’s Building, Land Use, Health and Fire Prevention access information and complete tasks in the field. For instance, inspectors will have access to property history including owner information, permit applications, past inspections, violations, planning/zoning applications and complaints. Additionally, inspectors can manage their daily schedules, get directions, send arrival notifications and complete inspections. Any actions taken in SDL mobile will automatically sync back to Fort Lee’s office staff, ensuring all parties have access to the latest information.

Fort Lee joins 28 other Bergen County clients and over 230 municipalities statewide who have used Spatial Data Logic’s software to streamline processes and move services online. We are thrilled to have Fort Lee as a client and look forward to helping the borough implement its new software!
