SOMERSET, NJ - December 13, 2022 - The Borough of Demarest recently selected Spatial Data Logic’s software for its Building Department. Located in Bergen County, New Jersey, the borough was looking for a new software solution to help its Building Department address new UCC permitting legislation and move services online.
By implementing Spatial Data Logic’s software, the borough will benefit from an interconnected solution that streamlines permitting, plan reviews, inspections, violations and other development processes for its staff. SDL Mobile will also enable Demarest’s building inspectors to work more efficiently from the field. Inspectors will be able to access their daily schedules, get directions, send arrival notifications, look up property history, conduct inspections and complete other tasks using a smartphone or tablet.
To comply with new electronic permitting legislation, the borough will soon be activating its SDL Portal account. The SDL Portal provides the public with 24/7 access to municipal information and services online. By activating the portal, Demarest’s Building Department can offer online permit applications, plan uploads, inspection requests, property/permit searches and status updates to its residents, businesses, and other community members.
Demarest joins 36 other Bergen County municipalities and hundreds of other government agencies nationwide that utilize SDL. We look forward to having them onboard!
