Until recently, residents of Raritan Township had to visit the Department of Public Works in person to acquire recycling permits. The permit allowed residents to access the Recycling Center six times a year, and each visit was tracked through a physical punch card. However, the department found it challenging to verify residency, monitor usage, and assist residents when they lost their punch cards.
