SOMERSET, NJ – Jul 09, 2003 – Brian Flood of SDL presented a paper entitled, “Application Development Using ArcObjects”, which is a synopsis of the SDL ASP offering.
The talk summarized the goals and benefits of having state-wide spatial data hosted by a single entity, coupled with the ability to add/manage/delete tabular data within those spatial entities, per municipality.
The talk was accompanied by a demonstration of the Geologic.NET and the SDL Building-Pro Module, a GIS based product for managing building applications, inspections and permits.
The demo emphasized the breadth and scope of the workflow supported. Highlights included the first, “Transcontinental parcel edit” using Geologic.NET, as Brian edited a tax parcel located on a server in NJ from a WiFi enabled client in the San Diego Convention Center.
