SOMERSET, NJ - June 27, 2022 - Spatial Data Logic welcomes the Township of Edison! Located in Middlesex County, New Jersey, the township will be implementing SDL’s Construction, Code Enforcement, Land Use, Engineering, Clerk, Heath, Pet Licensing and Fire Prevention modules.
With Spatial Data Logic’s municipal management software, Edison will have an interconnected solution that will increase transparency and facilitate cross-department collaboration. Previously, the township was using a combination of spreadsheets and 3 other software providers to manage its municipal processes. With all of these departments flowing into SDL’s system, the township will have improved oversight of department activity, property history and trending issues, making it easier to identify ways to improve processes for its staff and citizens.
With the SDL Enterprise License, Edison will have access to all of SDL’s municipal and citizen-facing platforms. Edison’s departments will have desktop, cloud-based and mobile solutions to streamline permitting, inspections, plan reviews, OPRA requests, complaints, violations, pet licensing and reporting both in the office and out in the field. Meanwhile, the township can activate SDL Sites, SDL Portal and SDL Citizen to deliver online services such as real-time issue reporting, property registries, mercantile applications, permit applications, inspection requests and other web-based services. In addition to pre-built requests, the town can also use SDL’s unlimited digital form builder to bring the township’s other paper and PDF processes online.
Opting for SDL’s hosting services, Edison’s staff members will also be able to access their software from any browser, allowing them to work efficiently both in and out of the office.
