SOMERSET, NJ - November 3, 2022 - Spatial Data Logic (SDL) is collaborating with the International Code Council (ICC) to provide its municipal software clients with seamless access to the ICC’s building codes and standards after participating in ICC’s pilot program. The alliance authorizes Spatial Data Logic as a third-party provider and reseller of the ICC’s newly launched ICC Code Connect API.
As part of the arrangement, local governments can license their ICC codes digitally when working in SDL’s building software. The codes will be available in SDL Desktop, SDL Online and SDL Mobile, making it easier for building officials, code officials, inspectors and technical assistants to access code data whenever they need it.
In addition to convenient access and efficiency, the ICC Code Connect API will ensure SDL software users have access to the most current codes and standards when completing plan reviews, violations, failed inspection notices and other processes. Once activated, users will be able to search the codes by section, title, number, keywords and other criteria. They will also be able to copy and paste the codes or link to a section when needed.
