June 29, 2023 - SOMERSET, NJ - Spatial Data Logic (SDL) is pleased to announce that the Borough of North Plainfield recently joined us as client! Located in Somerset County, New Jersey, the borough will be implementing SDL’s Construction software to modernize processes and drive efficiency for its staff and citizens.
With its new software, the construction department will benefit from an all-inclusive and interconnected solution that will help them streamline permit applications, plan reviews, inspections, violations and other tasks. When working in the field, inspectors will also have SDL Mobile to look up property history, access permit applications and complete inspections, further improving efficiency.
Additionally, SDL’s end-to-end permitting and plan review software will help the borough comply with UCC permitting legislation in New Jersey. Designed to make it easier contractors and homeowners to apply for building permits and request inspections, the law requires that each municipality establish an internet-based system that facilitates:
- Electronic submissions of permit applications, plans and specifications
- Online inspection scheduling
- Online information exchanges
- 24/7 access for the public
The SDL Portal will empower residents and contractors to submit construction permit applications, plans and specs online to the borough. Applicants can also use the portal to request inspections and check the status of their requests online, 24/7. Meanwhile, the borough’s construction department will have everything they need to process applications and requests electronically, review and approve plans digitally, complete inspections and communicate with applicants.
