July 12, 2023 - SOMERSET, NJ - Spatial Data Logic (SDL) is excited to expand our partnership with the Middle-Brook Regional Health Commission. In addition to using SDL’s website services to power its website, the commission will be implementing SDL’s health software to streamline its inspection process.

The Middle-Brook Regional Health Commission oversees the public health services for Green Brook Township, Warren Township, Watchung Borough and Bridgewater Township. Currently, the commission relies heavily on paper for its inspection process, handwriting owner and establishment information, inspection results, and notes. The inspection results are then scanned in and published to their website.

By moving the process online, inspectors will have an all-inclusive and interconnected software solution to help track and manage their inspections across all 4 municipalities. Most notably, the commission will have access to SDL’s Mobile app, enabling them to break away from paper inspection forms.

Using SDL Mobile, inspectors from the Middle-Brook Regional Health Commission can view their inspection schedules and access a property’s history from their smartphone or tablet. Furthermore, inspectors can use the app to conduct the inspection and document findings including the results, notes, photos, and any violations. The app can also be used to look up statutes, collect signatures, access inspection checklists, and manage complaints.

July 10, 2023 - SOMERSET, NJ - Spatial Data Logic (SDL) is pleased to announce its newest client, Dennis Township. Located in Cape May County, New Jersey,  the township has selected SDL's Construction software to modernize their processes and boost efficiency for both staff and citizens.

SDL's Construction software offers a comprehensive solution that will streamline various tasks for the construction department. Now, permit applications, plan reviews, inspections, and violations will all be efficiently managed through the software. Inspectors will also benefit from the convenience of SDL Mobile, allowing them to access property history, permit applications, and complete inspections from the field using a smartphone or tablet.

In addition, SDL's end-to-end permitting and plan review software will help the municipality comply with UCC permitting legislation in New Jersey. The legislation requires the establishment of an internet-based system that facilitates electronic submissions of permit applications, online inspection scheduling, online information exchanges, and 24/7 access for the public. With SDL’s citizen-facing portal, residents and contractors will be able to submit construction permit applications, plans, and specifications online. It will also provide them with the  ability to request inspections and track the status of their applications and requests at any time.

July 6, 2023 - SOMERSET, NJ - Spatial Data Logic (SDL) is pleased to announce that the Borough of Fair Lawn will be implementing SDL’s Health, Pet, and Code Enforcement software to streamline and modernize process for its staff and residents.

Located in Bergen County, New Jersey, the borough's Health Officer obtained grant money to support this initiative. By partnering with SDL, the Health department will have an all-inclusive and interconnected solution that will streamline various tasks, including health and food applications, licenses, inspections, as well as managing processes such as lead-safe certifications and pet licensing. 

As part of its new software, Fair Lawn’s health department will also have access to SDL Mobile, an application that will make it easy for inspectors to access property history, complete inspections, issue violations and take other actions from the field. Furthermore, SDL’s citizen platforms will enable the health department to transition their services online. This will make it easier for the borough’s 34,000+ residents to access information and services online, including health licenses, food licenses, pet licenses, issue reporting and more.

The Borough of Fair Lawn joins 40 other Bergen County municipalities and 250+ municipalities across the state of New Jersey who have used SDL's software to modernize processes and move services online. We look forward to having them on board!

July 5, 2023 - SOMERSET, NJ - Spatial Data Logic (SDL) is thrilled to announce that Chester Township has become a client. Located in Morris County, New Jersey, the township aims to modernize operations, enhance efficiency and better serve its citizens with SDL’s Construction and Land Use software.

Purpose-built for New Jersey, the township will have an all-inclusive and interconnected solution that will make it easier for its Construction and Planning and Zoning departments to complete their respective department tasks while interfacing on development projects. Since the software is interconnected, both departments will be able to see where an application, plan review, or prior approval stands, increasing transparency and collaboration. Moreover, when working in the field staff members will benefit from SDL Mobile, enabling them to access property history, applications, access codes and conduct inspections, further boosting efficiency.

Should the township choose to enable SDL’s citizen platforms, the construction and planning and zoning departments will be able to streamline information and services for its 7,000+ residents and ensure compliance with UCC permitting legislation. This would empower residents and contractors to search for property/permit information, submit planning, zoning and building applications, upload building plans and request inspections online, 24/7.  Meanwhile, Chester Township’s staff will have the necessary tools to process applications and requests electronically, digitally review and approve plans, conduct inspections and communicate with applicants.
